Continuo Collective of the South

- Special Christmas Event -

December 18, 2014 URS Theater

Reception - 6:30 p.m. , Curtain - 7:30 p.m.

Continuo Collective

The Continuo Collective of the South is an ensemble dedicated to the vast repertoire of Baroque chamber music. The "continuo" – the harpsichord and cello – is the consistent, driving force of the group. For this concert, the Continuo will add several more instruments. Aiken’s own Ken Courtney will be playing the harpsichord.

Special guest vocalist, Jeffrey Wells, of the Metropolitan Opera, will present favorite Christmas carols and lead the audience in a sing along featuring “Silent Night”.

Jeffrey Wells photoTo enhance this benefit concert for APAG educational outreach programs and make it a magical evening, guests are invited to a pre-performance reception in the theater lobby with wine, eggnog, hors d’oeuvres and yummy Christmas sweets.

The dress code for the evening is “black-tie optional.” So don your holiday finery and enjoy this memorable Christmas Event.
